Use the dropdown menus to visualize different groups and choose to apply survey weights. Each graph has interactive features, where axes can be rescaled, the user can zoom in and out, and hover over data points to see the exact values. The predictions for each group were generated from a statistical model, the ordered logistic regression model.
The models were estimated in the R language using the the brms package. The predictions are the predicted probability of each group, with a margin of error. More precisely, they represent the mean of the posterior prediction, alongside the 95% credible interval.

Abortion Access and Mandatory Prison Sentences for Abortion Providers
- Public opinion on abortion in Arizona is complex and nuanced.
- A majority of voters support abortion with some restrictions. Democrats tend to favor less restrictive access, while Republicans are more supportive of restrictions. A substantial portion of voters occupy the middle ground, indicating a desire for abortion access with certain limitations. In particular, Democrats, Independents, and Republicans exhibit greater agreement on abortion with limits compared to the more extreme alternatives.
- Republicans tend to be more supportive of mandatory prison sentences for abortion providers than Democrats and Independents; however substantial numbers of voters across all political affiliations oppose this policy.
- Demographic factors such as age, gender, psychological traits, race, and income also influence attitudes on abortion policy.
